Warum? Why?

Flic-Buttons brauchen normalerweise einen Flic Hub oder ein Smartphone als Brücke. Diese Integration spricht die Buttons direkt über den Bluetooth-Adapter von Home Assistant oder einen aktiven Bluetooth-Proxy an. Sie ist eine eigenständig gepflegte Custom Integration auf Basis eines Home-Assistant-Core-Pull-Requests, mit eigenen Releases, Korrekturen und Funktionen. Die Bluetooth-Kommunikation übernimmt pyflic-ble, die offizielle Bibliothek von Shortcut Labs; das Pairing läuft über einen ECDH-Schlüsselaustausch und bleibt über Neustarts erhalten. Flic buttons normally need a Flic Hub or a smartphone as a bridge. This integration talks to the buttons directly through Home Assistant's Bluetooth adapter or an active Bluetooth proxy. It is an independently maintained custom integration based on a Home Assistant core pull request, with its own releases, fixes and features. Bluetooth communication is handled by pyflic-ble, the official library from Shortcut Labs; pairing uses an ECDH key exchange and survives restarts.

Funktionen Features

Eine Event-Entität pro Button mit click, double_click und hold. Duo liefert das je Taste plus Wisch- und Drehgesten, Twist zusätzlich Dreh-Ereignisse oder einen Selektor-Modus.
Batterie (geschätzt) in Prozent für Flic 2 nach der offiziellen Flic-SDK-Kurve, dazu die Batteriespannung in Volt für alle Modelle.
Signalstärke des letzten Empfangs in dBm aus dem Home-Assistant-Cache, ohne zusätzliche BLE-Verbindungen oder Scans.
Automatische Wiederverbindung nach einem Neustart; ein nicht erreichbarer Button blockiert die Einrichtung nicht.
Automationen ohne Zusatzsensoren: Im Editor „Ereignis empfangen“ wählen und auf Einfach-, Doppel- oder Langdruck reagieren.
Geführtes Pairing mit Statusanzeige in Home Assistant; bestehende Kopplungen mit Flic-App oder Hub bleiben erhalten.

One event entity per button with click, double_click and hold. Duo delivers these per key plus swipe and rotate gestures, Twist adds twist events or a selector mode.
Battery (estimated) in percent for Flic 2 using the official Flic SDK curve, plus battery voltage in volts for all models.
Signal strength of the last reception in dBm from Home Assistant's cache, without extra BLE connections or scans.
Automatic reconnection after a restart; an unreachable button does not block setup.
Automations without extra sensors: pick “Event received” in the editor and react to single, double or long press.
Guided pairing with status feedback in Home Assistant; existing pairings with the Flic app or a hub are kept.

Voraussetzungen Requirements

Home Assistant 2026.9 oder neuer.
Ein verbindungsfähiger Bluetooth-Adapter in Reichweite: der Adapter des Hosts oder ein aktiver Bluetooth-Proxy, etwa ESPHome mit active: true. Passive Empfänger wie Shelly liefern nur Erkennung und Signalstärke, keine Klicks.
Pro Flic ein dauerhaft belegter Verbindungsplatz. Ein ESP32-Proxy hat standardmäßig drei; für mehr Buttons einen weiteren Proxy einplanen.
Zuverlässige Bluetooth-Hardware aus der Liste bewährter Adapter von Home Assistant – besonders bei mehreren Flics.

Home Assistant 2026.9 or newer.
A connectable Bluetooth adapter in range: the host's own adapter or an active Bluetooth proxy, e.g. ESPHome with active: true. Passive receivers such as Shelly only provide discovery and RSSI, not clicks.
One persistent connection slot per Flic. An ESP32 proxy defaults to three; plan another proxy for more buttons.
Reliable Bluetooth hardware from Home Assistant's list of known working adapters – especially with several Flics.

Installation Installation

Über HACS als Custom Repository (Kategorie Integration) hinzufügen, installieren und Home Assistant neu starten; der erste Start dauert etwas länger, weil pyflic-ble nachinstalliert wird. Gefundene Buttons erscheinen unter Geräte & Dienste; beim Koppeln den Flic nahe an den Adapter legen und gedrückt halten, bis Home Assistant die Einrichtung bestätigt. Discovered buttons show up under Devices & services; when pairing, keep the Flic close to the adapter and hold it until Home Assistant confirms setup. Datenschutz Privacy

Die Integration läuft in deiner eigenen Home-Assistant-Instanz und spricht ausschließlich lokal per Bluetooth mit deinen Buttons. Kopplungsschlüssel speichert Home Assistant. Es verlässt nichts dein Heimnetz, und es gibt keinen Server von mir, der Daten empfängt. Dieses Projekt steht in keiner Verbindung zu Shortcut Labs. The integration runs inside your own Home Assistant instance and talks to your buttons locally over Bluetooth only. Pairing keys are stored by Home Assistant. Nothing leaves your home network, and there is no server of mine that receives data. This project is not affiliated with Shortcut Labs.
